I am a licensed Private Investigator in the province of Ontario, and have extensive experience with all types of research, with a specialty in historical and genealogical research. I am passionate about genealogical and historical research, and love diving deep into document archives to find information about ancestors, uncover hidden information, and solve mysteries.
I have a Master’s degree and worked for over 10 years in academic research environments.
The reports and family trees I produce will always include all citations and supporting documentation, sourced from a number of different types of repositories, including government censuses and records, church records (including baptisms, marriages, and burials), newspapers (including birth, marriage, and death announcements), city directories, and other published materials. I ensure that all the information I provide is cross-checked across multiple sources, and that any discrepancies or uncertainties are clearly indicated.
In addition to the report and family tree, I can provide historical insights and documentation about the places and time periods your family lived in, and the jobs they worked. When possible, I will include photographs of your ancestors and the buildings or cities they lived in. In some cases I can even provide information about living distant relatives that you may not even know you have.
I also have extensive work experience as a web developer, in both public/academic and private sectors, as both a freelancer and full-time employee. I have expertise in user experience (UX), especially accessibility (a11y) and front-end performance, as well as a more general full-stack skill set.
My rates are flexible and I’m certain we can find a solution that works for us both.
