"A German and French leader pledged on Sunday to assist Ukraine as long as necessary, and to support efforts to prosecute war criminals. The German advisor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron stated in a joint statement following a meeting of senior government officials in Paris that assistance to Ukraine during its war with Russia will focus on specific sectors, including military and economic."
"The German advisor, who spoke from Paris on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Elysee Treaty (the friendship treaty between Germany and France), said that his country and France will "continue to provide all types of support that Ukraine needs." Scholz added that the two neighboring countries, which constitute the "European pillar," are "determined to do so (provide all types of support to Ukraine), as European countries, in defense of peace in Europe."
