As a ghostwriter: the assignment was to take in copy synopses and produce fiction or non-fiction manuscripts. Included detailed research of historical facts for the non-fiction or accurate location information for the fiction (i.e. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania). Format requirements were so many words per page, pages per chapter, and chapters per completed manuscript. The total output included: science fiction - Book 3 of the Aberration Series, and Book 3 of the Enyo Shatterbelt Series. The non-fiction series was called Business Lessons Learned; the focus of the project was designed to assist young people learn what it takes to succeed in life. The volumes I completed were History's Greatest Companies, History's Wealthiest, Past Presidents, and Rock Stars. This series was broken down into biographies of specific individuals by their top designation. Past Presidents, for example, spanned the list from George Washington to Barak Obama. I have no idea if Book Development Group, based in Utah when I worked with them, ever published any of these projects. As a ghostwriter, I wrote, got paid, and faded away.
 
As the co-author of a 5 book African paranormal series, The Lion Shifters: A Paranormal Shifter Romance, set in and around Nairobi, Kenya, Africa, I received chapter-by-chapter synopses to write complete chapters. The research was minimal on my part, enough to get an idea of the landscape, as my co-author lives in Nairobi and so added the local color. It is a contemporary series resulting in using primarily Google search and maps.

As a published author of a fiction work: The Cop and The Vampire Series, there was extensive research as the settings are Book 1, L.A. Screams set in 1900 Los Angeles, Book 2, Paris Bleeds set in Paris during and after the French Revolution Paris, and  Book 3, not yet complete, currently untitled, set in 1932 Las Vegas. Real locations are brought to life with accurate place names and travel directions aided by real maps of the time.

I spent twenty-eight years in Information Technology, from keypunch clerk to computer operator to computer programmer and Systems Analyst/Programmer, writing programs and user manuals. I headed the team that converted the code for the State of California Department of Corrections as part of their Y2K project. We brought the project in on time and under budget.

I enjoy helping people, seasonally as a Site Manager and Income Tax Preparer and Quality Reviewer for Tax Help Utah, a volunteer organization affiliated with VITA/TCE Tax Service, an IRS-recommended program. In this capacity, I am face-to-face with the public, doing the research as necessary to resolve their issues and guiding the volunteers to put forth their skills to also produce excellent results. 2023 will be my 11th year in that capacity.
