As a professional editor and
writer, I believe that good writing, like good editing,
requires an attention to minute details as well as an enthusiasm for
wrestling with the English language. My recent “double life” as freelance
writer/editor and academic has given a variety of skills that I can bring to your next project. As a freelancer, I have worked
primarily as a ghostwriter, pattern-writer, diagrammer and technical editor for
four knitting books. I have supplemented my involvement in these larger projects
with a variety of freelance work in formats as diverse as press releases, professional
and personal blogs, articles, book reviews and grant proposals.
As an
academic, I have researched and written several journal articles, completed my
own book-length manuscript on Victorian literature and copyedited the work of
several of my colleagues.
