Since it's inception, the Lake Placid Skater blog has been featured in "Skating" magzine in 2009 and voted as one of Shape magazines "Top 20 Blogs for Sports Nuts" in 2011. Sausa was also one of the finalists in the Microsoft Office Winter Games contest, which sent the winner to blog at the 2012 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. *Also in 2008, was approached by the Lake Placid News to become the "skating correspondant" and write about skating events in Lake Placid.
