I am a poet and teacher of English as a Second Language, which means I am obsessed with language.  I work hard to make the language I use as concise and easily understood as possible.  My experience in writing poetry and in teaching has taught me how to condense and clarify language into work that is articulate and accurate. I bring to the table a unique combination of proficient grammar and creative skills.  In January, I will receive an MFA in poetry from Warren Wilson College.  There I have written many original poems as well as many critical essays, including a manuscript of original work and a thesis-length essay in order to complete my degree.  I am also a teacher of English as a Second Language, and through that experience I have refined my editing skills and increased my knowledge of grammar.   I can create texts that are concise, accurate, informative, and interesting.  I can also edit texts towards these same qualities.
