I have been a writer for almost as long as I have been a willing and devoted reader, and these interwoven passions have been a part of me for over twenty years. In my personal writing I have explored a wide range of writing styles and crafted tales of varying lengths. My interests lie across a broad spectrum, and I have joyfully imbibed and absorbed a wealth of knowledge, and although I do possess my favourites, my experience covers a vast array of genres. For such self-acquired and hard to prove credentials, I cannot think of a finer application than writing. My strengths are fantasy, romance, and random rants on impulsive daily life. I believe that the beauty in my writing stems from my ability to capture and clearly portray the raw feeling of human emotion by combining lyrical metaphor and hard-hitting truths. The result, I find, evokes the remembrance of a similar feeling within the reader, thus drawing them further into the narrative on a personal level. This is why readers of fiction read, for self-discovery upon a platform where they can be vulnerable in a way they would not dare in the daily world outside. The auto-correct on my screen (favourites) has prompted me to state that I am familiar with American English, and will be mindful of such nuances as choosing ‘the sidewalk was gray’ as opposed to ‘the pavement was grey,’ owing to my client’s preference.
