Lex Ivey has over sixteen years of experience in providing GIS-based decision support to a diverse clientele, ranging from federal, county, and municipal governments to energy, mining, land development, and environmental firms. His unique combination of rigorous analytical skills, cartographic/graphic design artistry, and multi-disciplinary background enables Lex to transform complex geospatial and numerical data into maps, graphics, 2D and 3D animations, and other useable knowledge for citizens, planners, and stakeholder groups to make better decisions about their future. Over the course of his career, Lex has conducted projects all over the world including NEPA decision-support for the Bureau of Land Management, long-range sustainability planning in China, India and the Netherlands, groundwater vulnerability and natural hazard risk modeling for the Geologic Survey of Canada, land use allocation modeling for Natural Resources Canada, and stunning 3D visualizations of dam removals and river restorations for American Rivers and the National Park Service.
