Prof Prieur du Plessis is the immediate past non-executive chairman of the Institute of Directors in South Africa (IoDSA) and has vast experience of serving as chairman of and director on boards and board committees. Additionally, he is professor extraordinaire at the University of Stellenbosch Business School. He has an extensive background in corporate governance, including being one of the few holders of the Chartered Director (South Africa) designation. Du Plessis is the recipient of the Certificate in Corporate Governance (International Directors Programme) (INSEAD, France), has completed the Risk Management for Corporate Leaders course at Harvard Business School, and is a newspaper columnist on corporate governance.
