This graphic design job applicant found on the above employment website, seems to be an ideal job for a university graduate like myself. However the timing of the position could be more appropriate if it were at the end of this year, as then i would’ve finished my final year of the course Bachelor of Graphic Design an actually in the job searching game. Regardless though, this job would be perfect. Especially appealing is small design studio environment, which would be ideal as a young avid designer.

The advertisement asks for a lover of design, someone who is a confident illustrator, has the sound knowledge of design programs, Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. From my experience at University, i have an adequate knowledge of these three design programs and feel confident in using these programs independently or within a team environment. Also an experienced drawer, I am more that confident with traditional illustrating techniques.

The clientele this design studio works for, seems to be mostly corporate print work, including DL brochures, annual reports, corporate brochures, displays and in house magazines. I find this variance in design jobs exciting, especially the opportunity to work on the in house magazines, as this is something I’ve always wanted to do.All these listed design jobs i have had experience in.

I feel I am a very motivated individual with a streak of creative flair. A self confessed perfectionist and strive to work in a professional, but fun environment.
