On November 9, 2020, in the Bismil district of Diyarbakır, RD (34) applied to the police that his 24-year-old wife, YD, was missing.
Upon this, the police found out that YD might have been killed by being abducted in a vehicle, and during a search of RD's sister MD's residence and a vehicle, they found a long-barreled gun and a rifle.
In the investigation, after it was learned that RD had killed his wife by taking her to the old sand quarry in the vicinity of Diyarbakır-Batman Highway Karaköprü and buried her body in the sand quarry, search operations were started with the permission of the prosecutor's office.
During the search, RD's sister, MD, told that RD killed his wife, his relatives CD and MD were also at the scene, they went to the scene in a vehicle belonging to KD, and MAD was the instigator of the incident.
Upon confession, MD, RD, MD and MAD were detained for alleged instigator of the incident. The suspect's husband confessed to committing the murder and stated that he filed a missing persons complaint against his wife in order to mislead the target. After the suspect showed the place where he committed the murder, the body, which was considered to belong to YD, was found during the excavation with a cadaver search dog.
The body was taken to Diyarbakır Forensic Medicine Institute for identification. The suspects in custody were referred to the court on duty in Bismil after the police procedures were completed. Four of the suspects who were referred to the courthouse were arrested and sent to prison. (UAV)
