As a high school student, I, as expected, do not have as much experience as other professionals in the same field; however, I am willing to work extremely hard in the field of Computer Science because I have truly developed a strong passion and interest it in. I first started learning about computer programming when I was a sophomore in high school, and I took the introduction course at my school. I really enjoyed the class, so I continued on with these types of classes and am know taking AP Computer Science. In this class, I write programs in Java and have made many programs modeling popular games - Game of Life, GridWorld, 2048, Hangman, Tetris. Aside from school, however, I have also taken a class over the summer on cyber security at the Gen Cyber Academy of Excellence. I learned the basics of cyber security at this program, but am not extremely experienced in the field as there are limited opportunities to learn about it. Additionally I have plenty of writing and graphic design experience from school as a writing tutor for Honors American Literature. Even though my experiences are minimal compared others, I am very willing to research, learn, and work hard to gain experience in this field because of how much I really enjoy it!
