I have 4 years of experience working and volunteering for TED.com, Justinguitar.com and Amara.org as a captioner and subtitle translator. I started this journey as a means of helping sites as Justinguitar and TED share ideas and information. I got quickly adept in the use of the award-winning Amara subtitle editor and universal guidelines and practices for subtitling and captioning and was admitted to the Amara on Demand team of Captioners and Translators. My experience has involved captioning in English and Spanish and translating from English to Spanish a number of videos with different content. Music, customer reviews, interviews, TED talks about psychology, science and technology and guitar and music lessons. Given that I am part of several teams inside the Amara on Demand team, I am used to work with different guidelines. I am also well informed about different styles that other services use due to my interest in gathering as much knowledge as possible to offer the best results to my clients. Recently, I also became a member of the GoTranscript team of transcriptioners.
