My formal communications training is in Radio (2 years) and Advertising (3 years) at Algonquin College. With writing fuelled by passion and talent, I don’t need a thousand words to paint a picture; I can do it with a few or a few hundred. To truly reach an audience, your messaging must be so compelling that they’ll read what you have to say and then take the appropriate action. Additionally, you must also keep their interest so they don’t skim and skip. Creativity has many applications and nuances within the realm of communication. It can mean taking the mundane and making it motivating. Or, taking complexity and making it clear. The power of a well-crafted message cannot be overstated.
