I'm excited to have the opportunity to work with you by using my wide-ranging skill set. Though new to Guru (hi there--former Pittsburgher here!), I'm by no means new to freelancing,having done freelance work for several years. My skills include: Market Research Recruiting and Interviewing: Three years as the top-ranked interviewer at a market research company, doing cold calling/warm calling recruiting, and 25-45 minute interviews. Specialized in C-suite interviews (financial services sector) and pharma, among other more general recruiting/interviewing. Lots of great soft skills from this as well. I EXCEL at customer service work! Researcher: Two years of (information) research work, followed by freelance research work. I was a researcher at a library, and my passion is finding elusive information. Transcriptionist: I worked as a paralegal for seven years, and did transcription for a partner in a law firm. I've also transcribed lots of audio of interviews and even typed a handwritten journal from the 1800s (faint copy, poor handwriting and words they don't even USE in 2013)! My typing speed is 93 wpm. Data entry: Lots and lots and lots of experience. Far too much to mention. And I work GREAT under pressure with large amounts of data! Proofreader: I was a full-time proofreader for seven years--including financial work, legal work, ad copy, etc. I worked for a Big 8 accounting firm, an ad agency and several law firms. I've done freelance proofreading work quite often, including large amounts of technical proofreading. All of these skills combine for quality work, attention to detail and a strong internal work ethic, a love of information, a love of people, a love of problem solving and doing my best, no matter what the job.
