The year that is ending has been
particularly difficult for everyone. It revealed to us our capacity for resilience and taught us lessons that should remind us that we have made history and that, consequently, we must remain strong, our heads high and our foreheads held high. The holiday season is a well-established tradition to which I bow today to send everyone my warmest wishes for the New Year.Christmas celebrations send us back to our roots, our memory and our traditions. We are the heirs of a beautiful and great civilization. However, it is clear that our dear Haiti has been bogged down for some time in an
unprecedented multidimensional crisis that requires a lot of self-sacrifice, a lot of compromise and going beyond for the national rescue that will lead us to live together. We must remain faithful to our traditions and we must strive to restore our dear Haiti to what is most beautiful and greatest. We need a fraternal, patriotic and historical movement to reconcile us with ourselves and reclaim what is ours.At the level of the Ministry of Public Works, which I have had the privilege of leading the boat since November 2021, the task is colossal. The needs are immense while the means are derisory. But our determination and our desire to always live up to our responsibilities are clear. The year 2023 will still be marked by the continuation of
construction sites throughout the country according to the wishes of the Prime Minister, his Excellency Mr. Ariel Henry.I have a special thought for all the employees and executives of the Ministry, those of the Departmental Directorates and autonomous organizations who have worked hard this year in order to best facilitate communication in the country.Allow me, in these festive times when Christmas traditions are tending to disappear, to wish you, your families and your loved ones a very merry Christmas.May this celebration of hope and fraternity truly bring profound change to our country for the greater good of its sons and daughters.Merry Christmas 2022 and Happy New Year 2023 to all.May peace, security and peace of mind be yours !"Rosemond Pradel, Minister.IH/ iciHaiti
