Besides being an illustrator, graphic designer and sculptor for over 20 years (and a really fun person to work with), I enjoy being creative in about every medium possible! Some background on me: I developed an educational math game when I was 12; I played the oboe in the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony for two years; I even started my own Adobe Photoshop class during high school and won multiple graphic design competitions! After high school I graduated from a Computer Animation program and was nominated for the Best Independent Animation of Minnesota which provided me the opportunity to design and storyboard a commercial for the Gedney Foods company. Unfortunately I didn't have luck finding a computer animation job, but I did become a professional videographer for a wedding videography company and soon became the lead videographer and editor for the company. I also was in charge of designing DVD menus and product cases. Within a few years the company started shooting promotional videos for businesses and automotive review videos which I directed the production team on and hired the acting talent. Believe it or not, the videography company morphed into an smartphone app development company for automotive dealerships. Besides being the director of video production, I became the lead app submitter and app store asset creator which included the graphic design of over 3,000 app icons. We also developed a 'beacon' feature to include with the app and I was in charge of designing, creating and sourcing the beacon packaging and vehicle hang tag. I even learned some HTML and started designing/maintaining the company's website! During that time I learned that I love carving pumpkins and have won four different competitions over the years. My favorites are the E.T pumpkin I did last year and the first iPhone when it came out. Recently, I finished illustrating a 28-page children's book about a cellar spider who went outside which was super fun working with an eight-legged lead character!
