Fantasy artist working as an illustrator out of the Los Angeles area. My use of digital painting is a response to a technology-driven culture. My initial training consists of traditional oil and acrylic painting which presents itself through textured brushstrokes and color layering, similar to glazing within a pixelated canvas. Inspired by Renaissance artists such as Caravaggio, chiaroscuro techniques strongly influence the composition and lighting within pieces. The dark values balanced by contrasting light create a dramatic appeal, which complements the eerie subject matter portrayed. Influenced by Lovecraft, macabre films, and the soulsborn video game franchise the art created I hope evokes a dark mood.
