Using professional indexing software, I make the index conform to your style guide and specifications. And if you don’t have a style guide, I will make one that works best for the type of information and the prospective audience. Over the years I have learned to be empathetic with my customers. As an indexer, I use this skill to put myself in the place of the reader; a good index is always written for the reader's point of view. I have a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) and I am a graduate of the course "Indexing: Theory and Application" from the University of California Berkeley. I am a member of the Indexing Society of Canada / Société canadienne d’indexation (ISC/SCI) and a member of the executive committee.
