I am a retired IBM-Informix employee with 25+ years working with database systems, computer systems, operating systems, and well over 10 years with Informix software and services. I retired in 2010.  My forte has been with all aspects of the Informix development environment and database systems.  My specialties include 4GL Software development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization; Informix 9 Database Management, design, optimization, and troubleshooting; database systems design, development, and administration.  I also provide full systems consultancy services to include workflow analysis.

I do not work for any vendor.  I am as platform- and software- agnostic as one person can possibly be.  My job is to implement the best solutions for the customer, according to the customer's needs.  I don't design a "Ferrari" when a simple Chevrolet sedan will do the job effectively and reliably.  The tools I use are the ones I am most familiar with.  Should a customer require support for Oracle, or SQL Server, I may require a bit of self-training time to make it happen, but let's face it:  a database is a database and SQL is SQL.
