I've been cold calling, prospecting, building pipelines, and nurturing leads for around 4.5 years across a variety of IT products and services across the US, Canadian, UK, and Southeast Asian markets.
1. Firstly is defining the target market and niche to focus on.
2. Prospecting building a database using Linkedin Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, Bloomberg other secondary research tools.
3. Profiling each prospect thoroughly before cold calling adding relevance to the pitch by reviewing the products and services on the website.
4. Making an average of 120+ calls a day handling rejections positively hearing a lot of "No" and being persistent to hear the golden word "Yes".
5. Conducting the introductory call and scheduling the next steps as per the interests of the customer.
6. Handing the leads over to the Sales team for the next steps.
7. Sending reminders and following on each lead to ensure the appointments are conducted.
