In the healthcare domain, I develop HL7 interfaces for messages like ADT, SIU, ORM, ORU, RDE, RDS, MFN, DFT, ZPM, and other legacy data between a Hospital Information System (HIS) or EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system with other 3rd party systems such as Pharmacy System, Laboratory System, Radiology System, etc. within or outside the Hospital using an integration engine like Rhapsody or Mirth Connect.

• First, need to understand the requirement exactly
• Second, do a feasibility study by analyzing the available systems and data
• Design the required interface(s) and implement it using an Integration Engine in the development or testing server environment
• Do unit testing with dummy data and finally do user acceptance testing
• Deploy the interface(s) on the Production environment on successful testing
• Do technical documentation and give proper handover to the client for their self-monitoring and maintenance
