I am a PhD student in my final year, and so far it has been a challenging experience. The research has changed my outlook on knowledge acquisition, has helped me develop a host of critical skills, and has reinforced my enthusiasm to solve problems that are faced today.
Altogether, I have had many experiences in my academic life, such as the training courses I presented to new PhD students, the numerous lab demonstration tasks I have performed for the past two years, and I can now understand the student’s expectations from a staff viewpoint rather than from an undergraduate's viewpoint.
Whilst at university, I have also had a small number of commercial interests on the side, which has led to knowledge of commercial exploitation of ideas, and combining this with my undergraduate and research based experience means I can communicate my ideas in a meaningful way, in a teaching, research and commercial environment.
