I am IP Freelancer and registered India Patent Agent from Bangalore with over 9 years’ of experience in Intellectual Property, Contract Management and Policy management. I have done my Masters in Science in Electronics & Communication followed by another Masters in Technology in Information Technology. My Exposure to IPR happened during my M. Tech studies followed by an Internship stint for 6 Months in a Boutique Law Firm Specializing in IPR Services particularly in ICT (Information and Communication Technology). The learning and exposure that I had during my Internship instilled my confidence to make my career in the area of IPR and I started my career as a Patent Engineer in the same Firm after my Master studies. Along with IPR I was exposed to the basics of Legal work such as drafting and reviewing of IP agreements, franchise and general corporate agreements etc. For the past 8 years I have worked in various aspects of Patenting including Searches, Drafting, Office action responses (Prosecution), FTO (Freedom to Operate) searches, Landscape Analysis, Free and Open Source Software Analysis, White space Identification and IP Training to various stake holders. I have been trained by US attorney Mr. Naren Thappeta and Dr. Anindya Sircar (Former IP Head, Infosys Limited) in the areas of Patent Drafting, Prosecution and Legal Compliance related to Litigation and dispute resolving matters. I have always been particular in imparting the knowledge that I have gained to others. I have trained new members in our partner firm and project member teams in Patenting, particularly related to Basics of Patenting, Searches, Drafting and prosecution and drafting of Legal agreements, SOW's etc. I have given many presentations related to the areas of IP and Legal in many technical forums.
