I began my career as an interior designer in 1992 in Delhi, and with one of the finest designers of that time.  This stint transformed my college learning into hands-on experience, leading to the beginning of my design consultancy firm Xception in 1995.

In the last 28 years of its existence, Xception has handled project design  ranging from large residential to small studio apartments, commercial, retail and wellness spaces. My firm Xception’s core focus is interior design. Armed with an able talented resource pool, Xception’s creativity has been demonstrated through a wide range of projects. Xception assigns equal importance to form and functionality whilst  designing for spaces. 

Foremost on designing list is the importance assigned to vital aspects of the project’s requirements-traffic flow and patterns,   client profile life style requirements. Ubiquitous across all our projects is the integration of other significant details of projects: corporate image and identity, graphic design, collateral, window dressing, landscaping, uniform design . Interaction with the myriad consultants involved in the projects enables synchrony in every aspect of design detail. 

Xception has been awarded for its projects at IIID awards .   

 Finding beauty in imperfection and creating from nothing, or “Tor Mor Jor” as I like to call it, has been very close to my heart.  I have always tried to work on this whenever I have found an opportunity. My main design mantra is “limited” because I believe the moment you accept limitation you bring out your best and original creations.
