I believe that Ionic framework has great potential of being one of the major platforms for mobile app development in the near future because of its flexibility and single codebase characteristic. It allows for rapid development especially for apps that are more web oriented. Having a strong background as full stack developer for over 10 years, I have worked with server side technologies including both relational (MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) solutions for database design and configuration, web server setup and administration (Apache) and PHP development (CodeIgniter framework), and on the client side HTML5, CSS and javascript (jQuery, AngularJS). Recently, I started using BackendAsAService solutions through Firebase to my projects, because of the advantages they provide over more traditional ways.
