I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Italian both from the University of Kansas. In addition, I have over 10 years in the computing industry with qualifications and experience in a varied range of environments. I have a background in mainframe computer operations as well as software development in COBOL. I have 5 years’ experience managing both Windows servers, and the system administration of large computer installations. During this time I have worked extensively with Microsoft Active Directory configuration over a Wide Area Network. This work included modifying group policy as well as login scripts on Virtual Machines and physical hosts. It has been my responsibility to maintain the SCCM server infrastructure software and configuration, ensure client health, and troubleshoot problems associated with the client. Additionally, I create custom collections, reports, packages and advertisements to support other areas within our housing client services group. Furthermore, I have 10 plus years’ experience supporting Windows operating systems to include Windows XP (Pro)/7/8 and have been using Oracle VM Virtualbox to create test environments throughout this time. I have first-hand significant experience performing software updates and monitoring our security and server activity. In addition to my technical skills, I have the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, as well as accept personal liability and ownership for my areas of responsibility.
