For 20 years I have been working in the field of web development and organic search marketing (SEO). I pride myself on being a "jack of all trades" - I can design, build, program, and optimize web sites and web applications. I have worked with lead generation websites and directories for years, but also with small business websites where the primary call-to-action is a phone call and/or contact form submission. I have extensive experience in implementing and customizing WordPress, as well. My own personal experience with many freelancers that I've hired personally are that they are not "thinking developer" - you provide specifications and they program strictly according to those specs. And sometimes that's exactly what you need. But I've also found that with most projects, some things cannot be known or addressed from the beginning of a project lifecycle... you need someone who can bring issues to you AND possible solutions, as well as improvements, within the lifecycle (while under development). In short, your guru needs to work to make your product the best it can be. Development and design for me has to have purpose, and I feel connected to every project I work on. I am never okay with "good enough". If you hire me, that is the kind of professional you will be partnering with.
