Hi, My name is Joseph, I am currently completing my last year in high school and will be hoping to attend university in the fall of 2016. My ideal role would be one that allows me to express myself and communicate through writing and also, if needed, through face-to-face interactions, but at the same time, does not require me to work long hours (part time is ideal) as I need time to study. I think if I was to sum up myself in one word it would be inquisitive: I want to learn as much as I can about the world, whatever the field and I will persistently look for new measures to do this, whether its through home research, or meeting someone. While I do believe I possess an inquisitive mind, I also merit myself with having lots of persistence and ambition. Unfortunately, two years ago I failed my final exams with by achieving a CDD which are not satisfying grades for most universities. However, this did not deter me from my ultimate goal which is to attend university and gain a degree in the subjects that I love most (English and History) and I have over the last two years, been retaking most of my modules. I can confidently say that I have improved most of my grades so far and will be continuing to do so. I think it is important that part of being persistent is learning from your mistakes and more importantly learning from others that I am always keen to do. Lastly, although I have a passion for writing and literature I have found myself, more than once, in roles more relevant to marketing and finance. One example of this is when I had the role as a distributor for a charity (the National Deaf Childrens Society) where I went door-to-door trying to get people to sign up to direct debits. As annoying as I may have been to some people, this job taught me a lot about self-discipline and determination.
