A welcome boost. This Tuesday, December 27, at 8 a.m., the government opened applications for wood energy checks on the dedicated platform, set up by the Services and Payment Agency (ASP). This check? worth 50 to 200 euros? is reserved for "70% of households heating mainly with wood", or "2.6 million households", had already indicated the Ministry of the Economy shortly before Christmas.
If the wood energy check cannot be combined with a fuel oil energy check, it is however combined with the exceptional energy check of 100 to 200 euros planned for the end of 2022.
The first checks sent mid-February
Note that the wood energy check, like the "classic" energy check, is awarded subject to household income. According to the decree published in the Official Journal, the check will be between 100 and 200 euros for French people whose reference tax income is less than 14,400 euros, and between 50 and 100 euros for those whose tax income is between 14,400 and 27,500 euros. To apply for the wood energy check, simply go to this site: https://chequeboisfioul.asp-public.fr/chqfuel/, then fill out the form. The first checks will be sent from mid-February. Knowing that eligible households have until April 30, 2023 to apply.
