Lakers News: Anthony Davis Reflects On H

$25/hr Starting at $25

Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis put on a clinic against the Chicago Bulls in a 121-110 LA victory Wednesday. Chicago couldn't hope to keep up with his size. Ex-Laker Andre Drummond was absent due to personal reasons, and USC alum Nikola Vucevic, Chicago's starting center, just is not a good defender.

Across 38:38, Davis scored 38 points while shooting 13-of-20 from the field (1-of-1 from deep) and 11-of-14 from the charity stripe. He also pulled down nine boards, dished out four assists, and logged two steals and two blocks.

"Honestly we just came out hungry," Davis said. "We knew we needed a win. This team just beat us a couple nights ago, we wanted to get some get-back. And this whole trip, we call it the 'Get-Back Trip.' Every team on this trip has [beaten] us the last time we played them so we wanted to start off the trip right with a W, and we took care of business tonight."

“I always love playing [at] home, getting to play in front of my family and friends, I don't get a chance to do that all the time, we only come here once a year," Davis reflected on playing against his hometown Bulls. "I always try to come out and perform well and have this moment especially not just for me but for the family as well.”

The Timberwolves start 7' Karl-Anthony Towns at power forward and 7'1" Rudy Gobert at center. Gobert has the interior presence to pester AD in the paint, while KAT figures to give Jarred Vanderbilt fits making jumpers everywhere else. They're a bit more intimidating than an undersized starting frontcout of Vucevic and DeMar DeRozan.
