I have developed dozens of large, custom web applications focusing on a wide-range of industries including government agencies, start-ups, e-commerce, medical, financial, search engines, real estate solutions and worker safety. As an autodidact, I pride myself on learning new technologies and continually improving my skill-set. As a freelancer, I believe in professionalism, communication, test-driven development, clean code and representing my craft to the highest degree possible. When you work with me I will remain in constant contact via your communication preferences. I am comfortable working alone or with a team. I approach most projects with an agile development mindset. I can use your current project management system or I can setup a new agile / kanban system for us. Github is my go-to for source code version control. Test-driven development is my preferred method of writing new software. If you have legacy code, I can write regression tests or convert to newer technologies and allowing the tests to direct the development. For back-end development, Laravel 5.8 (PHP) is my current framework of choice. For the data layer, I have many years of experience with MySQL/MariaDB, Postgres, Oracle and NoSQL. I am well-versed with the Elastic stack and integrating Algolia for custom searching. On the front-end, I prefer Vue.js and just about any CSS framework, although I am most comfortable with TailwindCSS and Bootstrap.
