Las Vegas Grand Prix organisers are planning ‘affordable’ zone of tickets

The race on the Las Vegas Strip was   officially

announced in March of this year and will appear on the calendar for the first time in 2023. However, since tickets have not yet gone on sale, it is unclear how much spectators will be expected to pay to attend.

Given its position, it's reasonable to assume that tickets will be highly expensive, but the race's CEO, Renee Wilm, has proposed creating a specific area with more "accessible" costs.

The race on the Las Vegas Strip will take place for the first time in 2023, as was officially announced in March of this year. However, since tickets have not yet gone on sale, it is unclear how much spectators will be expected to pay.

The CEO of the race, Renee Wilm, has suggested a special area will be made that features more "affordable" prices. However, given its location, it is expected that the tickets will be very expensive.

In Nashville, Tennessee, at the AXS Sports Facilities and Franchises and Ticketing Symposium, The inexpensive areas would be geared toward a younger demographic and have a watch-party vibe, according to Wilm, who is also Chief Legal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Liberty Media, the proprietors of Formula 1.

The announcement came the same week that the British Grand Prix organizers faced backlash over their use of "dynamic pricing," which causes ticket prices to fluctuate in response to demand. On social media, some fans expressed their displeasure that the price increase occurred so quickly while they were still in the virtual line for tickets.

Additionally, fans had to wait for their seat at Silverstone for several hours until the website failed and was unavailable until the next day.

Another piece of information that came out of the meeting in Nashville was the rationale for the grand prix's decision to run on Saturday rather than the customary Sunday.

The event will start at 10pm track time which amounts to 1am Eastern Time on the other side of the United States. With a 10am start in Central Europe and a 9am lights out in the UK, this start time indicates that it will be a morning race for European fans.

Wilm clarified that the time was chosen to appeal to the established European audience.

That was actually a compromise to ensure that we are airing at a time when our European fans can get up with a cup of coffee and watch the race at 6:00 to 7:00 in the morning, which is very similar to how we watch the European races [in the United States],

Thus, it was crucial to consider it when organizing our sequencing for the race weekend.

The date of the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix is planned for November 18.
