Flags across the country will be lowered at half-mast during national mourning. There will be a daily break from work in the private and public sectors.
Born in Abu Dhabi in 1948, Al Nahyan took office as President of the United Arab Emirates on November 3, 2004, after his father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, passed away on November 2, 2004.
