My name is John Risvold. I am private practice as a litigator and have experience on both the defense and plaintiff’s side in state and federal court in Illinois and Missouri. I have spent the majority of my career handling complex litigation and product liability matters, as well as medical malpractice and other personal injury matters as both a defense attorney and plaintiff’s attorney. In my career I have had the opportunity to work cases from inception through trial, drafting and arguing substantive motions and taking countless depositions. I have negotiated settlements and handled settlement conferences before judges throughout the state as well as in Missouri. I have both first chair and second chair trial experience as well as experience working on larger trial teams, where my experience is more akin to a third chair.
