Liverpool star Mo Salah reveals EXTREME health regime has left his home 'looking like a hospital' and his wife is NOT a fan... while the Egyptian's obsession to be the greatest means he can only eat pizza 'once a month'

Mo Salah has revealed the lengths he goes to stay at the top of the game, as he discussed cutting down on fast food and filling his house with medical machinery.

Whatever he's doing appears to be working. The Egyptian winger won the golden boot last season with 23 league goals and was a key part of a double-winning Liverpool side.

He also won a range of other individual awards, including PFA players' player of the year and FWA footballer of the year.

Speaking to France Football, Salah said: 'Two rooms in our house are dedicated to different fitness machines, bodybuilding.

At home I can also do cryotherapy, there is a hyperbaric chamber. I am constantly looking to improve my physical condition.'

'It's true that I like to say that my house looks like a hospital, [but] my wife doesn't like that! [She] says that I spend more time with my machines than with her!'

Aside from his exercise and recovery regimen, the Liverpool star also maintains an incredibly disciplined diet. He said:  'I prefer broccoli, sweet potatoes, fish, chicken and always salad.

'When I indulge in a great restaurant in London, I prefer sushi.'

'I eat pizza once a month at the most. I love hamburgers , but I hardly ever eat them because afterwards I feel heavy!'
