  1. Conducting Logistics Assessments:

    • Evaluate existing logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
  2. Analyzing Data and Metrics:

    • Collect and analyze data related to supply chain performance, such as transportation costs, lead times, inventory turnover, and service levels.
  3. Identifying Improvement Opportunities:

    • Identify areas for improvement within the supply chain, and develop strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
  4. Developing Logistics Strategies:

    • Create customized logistics strategies tailored to the specific needs and objectives of each client.
  5. Cost Analysis and Budgeting:

    • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the financial impact of proposed logistics solutions. Assist in budgeting and forecasting for logistics operations.
  6. Recommendation and Implementation:

    • Provide recommendations based on analysis and work with clients to implement changes in logistics processes and procedures.
  7. Vendor and Partner Management:

    • Evaluate and select logistics partners, carriers, and vendors. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships to ensure optimal service levels and cost-effectiveness.
  8. Supply Chain Technology Integration:

    • Advise on the implementation and integration of technology solutions, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  9. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, trade compliance, and international shipping requirements. Ensure clients are in compliance with relevant laws.
  10. Training and Knowledge Sharing:

    • Provide training and knowledge transfer to client teams, ensuring they understand and can sustain the implemented logistics solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management, 15 years experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Negotiation and vendor management experience.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements.
