In creating logos I generate a substantial lineup of concepts that are almost as numerous in their composition and atmosphere. The development of Thai fonts, English fonts, and Japanese letterforms based on printed characters and calligraphy, enrich these concepts. Note: I'd like you to consider my typical rate as $280, because this work requires 20 hours for clients that reach a concept choice in the second or third round of concept generation, and 40 hours for clients that are searching for an intangible "something" that eludes us. I've listed $80 as the minimum because a number of clients are willing to have the process capped, such that it's completed in two delimited stages: [1] I generate 5-12 concepts, ranging as wide as I can, then [2] the client chooses one, and with 2-3 rounds of redos or revisions, we bring it to its final state. It would be nice if this online presentation format had two ranks of fee—the compact, quicker-turnaround route, and the hunt-for-greatness route—but with only one, I'm posting the 80.
