I am driven, conscientious and proactive M&A advisor, with over 20 years of international experience. I have driven transactions and investment strategies for multiple billion dollar companies, including Saudi Aramco, Coca-Cola, Kinnevik, ABSA, and Econet.

I have extensive experience optimising capital structures and allocations across a variety of geographies. I have particular expertise in simplifying complexity, dealing with uncertainty, and managing sophisticated stakeholders.

-    Corporate development lead on Rio Tinto’s $40m investment for a 20% stake in Sovereign Metals Ltd.
-    Led sale of Mutare Bottling Co. to Delta Corp. for 40x EBITDA, 8x higher than Coca-Cola average
-    Led the finance function for 7 companies; incl. iflix Africa ($30m ARR), Higherlife ($30m annual spend), and Vylo
-    10+ years leading strategy development for companies valued >$1bn; incl. Saudi Aramco, Kinnevik, and ABSA
-    Led special investments for Econet (Strive Masiyiwa, Exec Chair) for 7 years, with AUM of $250m

-    Developed investment strategy, as part of a successful ~$150m capital raise, for an early-stage, equity and debt, investment fund
-    Development of the funding models; incl. for a pan-African renewable company (>5,000 kW installed in first two years), with multiple revenue models (upfront, IPP, etc.) and flexible capital structuring
-    Led deal teams, incl. origination, valuation, structuring, on multiple early-stage companies, with EV between $1m – $50m, resulting in >10 transactions
-    Led sale efforts, incl. for a FMCG company (full exit for $13m, 67x EBITDA) and a financially distressed water-tech firm (full exit for $3m)
-    Led multiple turnarounds, incl. for a FMCG company (loss to profit, 27% revenue CAGR, GM expansion from 46% to 64%) and for a hospitality company (loss to profit, 38% revenue CAGR, 7% annual opex saving)
-    Led full suite due diligence processes, including analysis of industry competitive structure, complex forecasts, post-deal value add, on multiple targets ranging from listed companies to early-stage startups
