I have a lot of experience with java & javascript, so I've learned to code with Open Layers, which is a javascript based library for interacting with maps in many ways.

In the attached image, you can see a quick example of this. Users can show/hide different layers (wind activity, solar activity, natural protected resources etc.) and when clicked on the map, it shows the information related to that specific point.

There's many different things that can be accomplished with Open Layers, for example, you could show all the brances of a restaurant and show their respective delivery area range.

There's also many different maps to choose from (Google Maps, Bing Maps, and more with all it's different variations (city maps, satellite views, night views etc.)
