Marca explained that the Paris Saint-Germain administration is seeking to take advantage of Al-Amari's presence in Doha to pressure it to resolve the file of Mbappe's renewal.

She added that the Paris club had prepared an offer for two seasons, with a clause facilitating the player's departure if he so desired.

Paris Saint-Germain wants to retain Mbappe's services during the next season, coinciding with Qatar's hosting of the 2022 World Cup.

Earlier on Wednesday, French President Emmanuel Macron said, in comments reported by the Spanish newspaper "AS", "Unfortunately, I cannot talk about Mbappe's transfer to Marseille."
