I am a lead mechanical design engineer responsible for the development of commercial products, from research/concept phase to release. My detailed design strengths are working with static and dynamic assemblies (enclosures of all kinds, 30+ parts), injection molded plastic/elastomeric components, precision metal assemblies, off the shelf components, and complex user interfaces. I have overseen and implemented various development stage builds, strength/functionality testing, and various testing of products and prototypes in simulated use. Other aspects of my work includes creation and execution of verification/validation test protocols, engineering test reports, manufacturing line support, and management of sub tier design activities. I have worked heavily with cross-functional teams, marketing, and management to maintain timelines, reduce cost, and focus on customer needs while managing risk.
