When you hire me you get a professional engineer with an NCEES record, twenty years of mechanical/electrical integration, assembly manufacturing, process development and automation, product development along with continuous use of integrated design and analysis tools. I'm a first principles-oriented Mechanical Engineer practicing since receiving a Master of Science in Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. While at ATS Automation, I worked with teams developing high value custom automated manufacturing lines. While at Advance Energy, our team designed and implemented LEAN assembly lines for utility scale solar inverters. At Hewlett-Packard, my role as an R&D ME developed automated measurement technologies for laboratory and high volume production lines. This work involved system architecture, machine design, vision systems and subsystems integration. In addition, several years of co-inventing sensing technology used to ensure quality inkjet and other product lines. I have strong process development, machine design, simulation, analytical skills including structural and many years using CAD/CAE (IDEAS, Creo-Elements (aka. CoCreate), SolidWorks), ANSYS, COMSOL and SolidWorks-Flow to help optimize systems and devices. Additionally, I spent several years as a Professional Instructor developing teaching material and presenting to large groups with emphasis on CAD for FEA in nonlinear, forced dynamics, conjugate heat transfer and linear statics.
