As a former journalist, web content developer and health care/medical writer, I bring a rich array of skills to any job. My specialty is taking complex medical/scientific content and retooling it for a targeted audience. I have written about primary care practice improvements for the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Quality and Research's Health Care Innovation Exchange website, tackling such issues as health care access and delivery, effective use electronic medical records, and improving patient-provider communication through cultural competency. I honed my ability to write for the web at an interactive ad agency and branched into medical writing for the Hepatitis B Foundation, the Hepatitis C Support Group, Parents of Kids with Infectious Diseases, and ProPatient.com. As a former reporter, I am experienced in developing story ideas, interviewing, writing, and editing under tight deadlines. I am a team player, fun to work with, and I work well under pressure.
