My work experiences are extremely well rounded and varied! I've worked in several different industries and retain knowledge and expertise in all: Originally trained in the sciences, I've worked on studies measuring erosion rates in Redwood National Park requiring extensive data collection, management and analysis as well as computer mapping and writing and editing technical reports. A cross country move for graduate school offered the opportunity to work in the insurance field and I spent 10 years with the same company in many different capacities as I moved up the ladder, working as a a claim rep and adjuster and eventually getting into management. This job required typing claim reports from recorded statements from both insured customers and other claim reps. Currently working part-time for the federal government (and loving it because I am primarily out in the field as an economic assistant for the Bureau of Labor Statistics), I am responsible for data collection for the Consumer
