Menu Design for Restaurants & Cafes

$40/hr Starting at $160

You do the food and I’ll do the menus.

Graphic design is an art, being a foodie is a passion and running a successful restaurant is a formidable skill. The common trait between all three is expertise, one could do not the other’s job to the same level.

After working many years for industry-leading restaurants, I learnt what makes the customer’s experience go from ‘it was excellent thank you’ to ‘can I book a table next week please’. It’s the subtle balance between teamwork and singular expertise; if you use everyone’s individual passion and knowledge, you can’t fail!

That’s where I come in! I’m here to be the reoccurring menu designer that sits in the background, always around when you need me! I can be there for the planned seasonal revisions, the weekly special changes or the private event welcome packs, I have done them all.

Why should I invest time and money in my menu design?

If you have the formidable skill we talked about, you’ll know that the menu says more about a restaurant than a chatterbox during an interview. It’s an element that will appear in every part of your customer’s journey; stalking it online, browsing it at the table, and posting it on reviews & social media… so I suggest giving them something to talk about!

What can I help with?

Basically, if it’s to do with a food industry company and stationary I can do it.

  • A la carte menus
  • Breakfast & brunch menus
  • Dessert menus
  • Private event cards
  • Wine, drinks & cocktail lists
  • Coffee menus
  • Display menus
  • Many, many more…

They can be in any format and ready for any size from small intimate whiskey menus to large printed overhead banners.

Why me?

My expertise is restaurant stationary and unlike other designers, I don’t dabble in different industries. I know my craft extremely well and all the small details that go along with it; the speed needed, the last-minute changes and the cost vs up-sell dilemma…

Simply put, I get the brief from you and deliver the below;

  • High-quality files ready for print
  • Smart, minimalist & stylish designs
  • Unlimited revisions**
  • Friendly and easy communication

Optional extras; From the chef’s head to Charlotte’s pen.

After years of working with chefs, I noticed some want help translating beautiful dishes into the written word. This is an unexpected skill I picked up and am happy to offer it as an extra for those who want it!

What do I need from you?

Please have the following prepared before placing an order so the menus can be produced in the time frame stated:

  • Final text including sections, dishes and prices (unless opting for the extra above)
  • Logo vector files
  • Any brand guidelines and/or colour codes
  • Inspiration pictures (optional)

Please feel free to send over any questions or enquiries before placing an order.
