I have a passion for taking complex business problems and modeling them as elegant and simple software applications. I like to make use of open source libraries that reduce the amount of repetitive work and allows me to focus on the business problem at hand. Along the way I love helping people to learn more effective techniques of working by sharing my experience gained through the many projects I have been involved in, as well as the latest tools that I have been experimenting with. When developing solutions to problems I look for ways of implementing design patterns as I believe they reduce pain and increase the stability and maintainability of a application. In other words, to help businesses improve their efficiency through: 1) developing sensible software, 2) sensible decision making (in terms of software/architectural decisions), 3) helping fellow developers to improve themselves.
