Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated Benjamin Netanyahu on the victory of the coalition he leads in the recent Knesset elections, stressing the UAE's keenness to promote the causes of peace, cooperation and positive partnerships in the region for the benefit of all its peoples.


The Israeli presidential office announced that two parties recommended Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog to appoint Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister.


Israeli local newspapers said Israeli Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu began consultations to form the next government even before he was formally authorized to do so, as the decision was made as part of preliminary agreements as part of negotiations with his right-wing bloc parties.


She added that Netanyahu had received the recommendation of 63 MKs and would therefore be tasked with forming the next government.
