a statementArgentine journalist Francis AguilarLionel Messi is set to win the “Best” award for the best player in the world for the 2021-2022 season.

Aguilar said that “FIFA” wants to remind the organizers of the Golden Ball, who ignored Messi’s nomination for their award last year.

FIFA will announce the name of the winner of its prestigious award, Monday evening, in the French capital, Paris.

The competition for the “Best” award was limited to Messi, who won the Golden Ball for the best player in the world seven times (a record), Mbappe, and Benzema, who won the last edition of the Golden Ball.

The nominations are in favor of Messi, who previously won the title “The Best” in 2019, in this award that “FIFA” returned to award in 2016 after separating from the Golden Ball award awarded by “France Football” magazine.

And the 35-year-old strengthened his chances to be the best for 2022, after winning the 2022 Qatar World Cup title with his country.

Like Messi, Mbappe presented a wonderful world finals in Qatar, finishing top scorer with eight direct goals against his Argentine colleague, including a hat-trick in the final that made him the second player to score a “hat-trick” in the title match after England’s Jeff Hurst in 1966.

But the penalty shootout failed Mbappe in the end and prevented the player, who celebrated his 24th birthday two days after the final, from winning the World Cup for the second time in his career after the title of the “Russia 2018” World Cup.Benzema will be the third party in the struggle for the title of “the best” after winning the Golden Ball for the first time and the Champions League title for the fifth time in his career last year.

However, the chances of the Spanish Real Madrid star diminished after the injury prevented him from participating in the Qatar World Cup, which may make the 44 goals he scored in 46 with the Royal Club last season insufficient for the 35-year-old to compete with Messi and Mbappe for the prestigious award.
