Ahmed Waqas is the CEO of Bio-Vet (Pvt.) Ltd, and AIQ Consultants in Pakistan. Through these ventures he has been actively involved in expanding the food and poultry industry in Pakistan and Internationally, in addition to introducing best practices in the areas of management and consultancy within the industry. Ahmed Waqas holds a Master Degree in Business Administration and started his career in 1994 as Assistant Manager at the Toyota where he received many accolades for his performance. He joined his family business in 1999, where he ventured into forming several alliances with world-renowned manufacturers of poultry industry including Genetics, Environment Control Housing, Hatchery Automation, Turn Key Feed Mills, Turn Key Processing & Packaging, Product Development, Cold Storage & Refrigeration and Customized Outlets, etc. As a result, today Bio-vet is the only turn-key solution provider in all processes from ‘genetics to food’ and a sole agent for world’s leading & renowned manufactures in Pakistan. AIQ Consultants was established in 2009 realizing the need to assist and advise the investors in various areas such as planning, land selection, recruitment, product development, branding, marketing & sales, software solutions & controls, strategic & financial management, etc. While Bio-Vet is a market leader in the poultry processing industry in Pakistan, since 2009 having over 70% market share to date. AIQ Consultants has worked with significant players in the industry namely, Big Bird Group, Dawn Group, Sufi Group, Ali Group, ARW Group, Neat Foods, and Gras Group. Ahmed has also successfully concluded joint venture agreements between Neat Foods and Al-Islami Group, Dubai-UAE for the export of chicken. Recently he is appointed as a Consultant / Auditor, for a Saudi Group. He has been actively involved in international marketing and product development for companies in the Middle East and Pakistan.
